Courtney had more problems than other high schoolers: she discovered that she has superpowers, watched her parents get killed, learned that ever memory of the past year was a lie, and was recruited by the girl who was responsible for altering her memories to save the world.

Maybe it would be a good thing. Courtney could go along with the girl's plan, get her memory back and move on with her life, but in order to protect her siblings and the rest of the world, she has to embrace her powers. The plan takes a sharp turn when Courtney's powers take over and she becomes more dangerous than the original threat.

Some things are better undercover, but sometimes facing yourself and fighting is the only way to make things right. But will Courtney destroy herself and everything she has ever known in order to set things right?

Sequel to Staying Undercover, but can be read without reading Staying Undercover

For over a hundred years, humanity has lived in fear of the monsters that roam the streets, lurking in the drains below. Women and their daughters hide, protected in their homes, while men take their sons through the world, teaching them the responsibilities of having a family to feed and dangers to avoid. No one leaves the home unless it's essential, and most of the world prefers it that way. Until one girl spends her days perched on her window seat, looking down at the world below and dreaming of a different life. Her eyes are always drawn to the dark, ominous drains in the street, the ones that often blink open to swallow and person whole. One day, that person is her little brother, snatched right in front of her from their arms of their father and gone forever. When a person is snatched, they never return, and life goes on without them. But she can't accept that. Breaking all the rules, all the things she's ever known, she braves the world outside her little townhouse and goes on a mission into the darkness to find her brother. Only, it's soon her that becomes the one lost to the drains. To survive she must rediscover her world, and in the process, rediscover herself. She will be reunited with old friends, gain new ones, find out deeper secrets about her past than she ever could have imagined, and learn that the world is even more corrupt than she always thought. *** This story contains sexist ideology, mention of cheating, some gruesome scenes, and a whole lot of monsters and darkness. It isn't overly mature... there isn't much explicit language or sexual scenes, but there is a bit of violence, so just keep that in mind... and despite all that negativity, ENJOY!

"They took my sister. Now I'm taking her back." Seventeen years ago, humans started developing supernatural abilities. Comic books came true as the first person flew, created fire, mind-read. The world entered a new age where people who could do special things were revered and admired. That all changed when one man lost control of his power and unleashed a huge explosion in a crowded shopping centre, killing over a thousand others. A series of fights involving superhumans broke out, resulting in the destruction of multiple cities and hundreds upon hundreds of further lives lost. The government began hunting down those extraordinary people with the assistance of a specialised unit: trained in recognising different abilities. Suddenly powers became something scary, uncontrollable and dangerous, that nobody wanted to own up to having. Seventeen years after the Explosion, Amelie Rose Carmichael is the daughter of the man who is in charge of hunting down and imprisoning these people. She enjoys a comfortable life, protected from any threats against her. But when Amelie develops an ability without warning, she must try to keep it hidden from her family, her friends, and above all her father. Can she keep a secret? Will she use her powers to help the rebel organisation that has approached her? And what secrets are the people around her hiding? 47 parts Complete

My life was completely normal. Until I became a spy that is. Let me rewind. My name is Cameron Lee. And yes, I'm a girl. At 16, I'm the youngest of four kids, all spies. Being born into a family of spies is tough. The expectations are high and the situations are dire. Things weren't easy to begin with, but they just got worse. Why? Family, friends, love, lies, and betrayal. "Go ahead. Try to stop me. It won't be easy." (Originally called Lights! Cameron! Action!)
