He placed some food on my bedside table and I quietly munched on it. He smiled a little. Then he looked around. "... I've never been in here... Your apartment is nice." He said. "... Thank you..." I mumbled and looked down at my lap as I chewed.
"... No one expects you to show up at school. No stress, Hongjoong, okay?" He said. And then I broke down. I hid my face in my hands and sobbed. He was clearly a bit shocked and didn't really know what to do.
I could feel the mattress shifting under his weight as he sat down next to me, carefully wrapping an arm around me. Me and Seonghwa had never really... Talked. But he was clearly feeling bad for me. Which he shouldn't. It was all my fault.
I sniffled softly and crossed my arms, not daring to look at him. I felt ashamed of crying like this. But Seonghwa clearly didn't care. He just sat quietly next to me, arm around my shoulders as a quiet support.
"... Don't tell people I let you in..." I mumbled. "I promise I won't." He said with a soft smile. I didn't smile back when I looked at him. I just turned my face back to my lap and my fiddling fingers.
