Takaya is a boy from the village of Sikaya. He wants to be a Xeno Knight like his father. His father died fighting a demon with the power of the war god Kartikeya.
In the world that Takaya lives everyone gets magical powers when they are sixteen years old. When Takayas friends turn sixteen they get abilities during the ceremony.. When Takaya touches the sacred stone nothing happens to him. He does not get any power all.
Takaya is very sad. He cannot take the knight exam. He thinks about giving up on his dream of being a Xeno Knight. Then his mother talks to him. She reminds him that he still has the Sword of War that belonged to his father. The Sword of War is a weapon. It gives Takaya a chance to try out for the Xeno Knights even though he does not have any magic.
Takaya wants to honor his father, the Xeno Knight. He wants to show that being brave and determined is just as good as having powers. Takaya decides to try for the Xeno Knights. He wants to prove that he can be a Xeno Knight, like his father, the Xeno Knight. Takaya is going to try his best to make his dream come true and make his father proud. He will use the Sword of War to help him become a Xeno Knight.
