Lady Artemis's school for hunters has been around for ages, training young kids into capable, strong, and above all, disciplined hunters. Not everyone who goes in comes out immortal but they do come back with a blessing from the goddess herself.
After years of training, Lucas Andrew Halton thought he would've finally became what he'd been training for. The gods had other plans. Rather than letting him on a dangerous mission to find the academy's protector dragon, Anabraxas, they send him off to recruit a boy. A *boy*! While the school is in danger and *anyone* can enter! Leonardo dè Conti has everything Lucas hates-sarcasm (though he does live on it, too), a normal life, an awkward but endearing smile, and worst of all-happiness. Leo is everything but just a normal boy. He's a freak! A gods-awful freak (Lucas's words).
Sick and tired of ignorance from the gods, Lucas decides to take matters into his own hands. So along with three of his closest friends (Leah, Troy, and Thomas), plus Leo, he sets off on an unsupervised, unapproved, and very, *very* legal quest.

Will they succeed in finding the one who stole the dragon Anabraxas while also tolerating each other? Or will this be the end of their partnership? Oh, and the world.
