Dust, Sweat, and His Boy

Dixon Blake grew up with his family. His family owned a rather large and well-known ranch. He grew up learning his father's business. He worked hard to live up to his father's name. Even after he passed away, Dixon does what he can to run the ranch and take care of his family. As the responsibilities grow, his days grow longer, and sleep grows less. He is at his breaking point. At only 24, he has much more responsibility than other people his age. He didn't get to go to college or live the way he wanted, and still, he would never complain. No lack of sleep and endless stress could ever crack the smile he always seemed to have. He was okay with his life, but he desperately needed help.

Weston Grey recently retired from the military at 32. He left his small town, getting away from his shitty homelife at 20. The closest thing to a father he ever had was a man he barely knew. Met him once before he drafted when he offered him a job to come back home. It took one good man to push Weston to the best choice he could've made for himself. In full uniform, he shows up at the Ranch of the Blake family, hoping to see the man who fed him and treated him as his own, even if it was for one night only. He wanted to look him in the eye and show him the man he became. What he wasn't prepared for was meeting not the father, but his son, whom he had only seen briefly when he was still so young.
