This is a story about a fifty one year old physicist - greying hair, bad leg, questionable life choices - who dies, gets reborn into the chaotic world of one piece, and decides the most reasonable response to this situation is to ... acquire a nuclear submarine.
He is not the main character of this world. That position is already taken by a rubber boy with a straw hat. Our man Cross is simply... adjacent to the plot.
The world of One Piece is enormous, ridiculous, and ...heartbreaking (I guess)
Cross will be navigating all of it with science, military training, and a highly advanced AI with an attitude problem.
As for the 'Redemption' in the title?
You'll understand eventually.

This story is a fan interpretation inspired by the upcoming GL series Pls Love starring Lena and Miu. While waiting for their series to begin filming and eventually be released, I wanted to imagine what their story might feel like - to give fans a small taste of the emotions, tension, and romance we might see on screen. This adaptation follows the same general premise and conflicts of the original novel, but it is written purely from my imagination. The characters keep the names Lena and Miu instead of the original names from the novel.
