The football match was over.
I was heading toward the lockers to change when I heard her name.
I stopped.
It was him. The same guy she'd defeated for the fourth time in debate.
"Of course that old man made her win again," he sneered. "She probably did him a favor for it. That bitch-"
The next second, my fist connected with his jaw.
Hard.
My hands didn't stop.
He hit the floor, spitting blood, clutching his mouth as it started to bleed.
"What the fuck, man?" he rasped.
I grabbed him by the collar and forced him to look at me.
"No one gets to talk shit about her."
He let out a broken laugh. "You fucking hate her too."
I tightened my grip.
"Hate and disrespect hold a difference," I said, voice low
and steady. "And even the hate is something only I get to do."
I leaned closer, eyes locked on his.
"And no one fucking disrespects my girl."
Then I let him drop.
