The Marriage That Was Never Meant To Be

She was never supposed to be his bride.

He was never supposed to be her war.

───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────

When Kiran Sharma vanishes on her wedding day - running away with the groom's driver - her elder sister Meera is dragged to the mandap by their controlling uncle and forced to take her place.

The groom? Arjun Raichand.

Arrogant. Explosive. The kind of man who shouts to make the world obey.

He lifts the veil expecting a quiet, obedient bride.

He gets Meera instead.

───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────

For nine years, Meera played weak. Kept her head down. Swallowed her fire. Survived.

But the moment she steps into the Raichand mansion - away from the uncle who broke her wrist and stole her voice - something inside her snaps.

The first time Arjun Raichand tries to shout over her?

She shouts louder.

The first time he grabs her arm?

She slaps him so hard his head turns.

The first time he says "I make the rules"?

She looks him dead in the eye and says "Your rules end here."

───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────

He's never met a woman he can't control.

She's never met a cage she can't break.

He wants an heir. She won't give him one.

He throws things. She throws them back harder.

He has an ex he won't let go. She has a past that won't let go of her.

His family wants to destroy her.

Her family already tried.

But behind the screaming matches and the slammed doors and the shattered glass - something dangerous is growing.

Something neither of them asked for.

Something neither of them can stop.

Because the marriage that was never meant to be?

It might be the only real thing either of them has ever had.
