Maria is Death's Angel, the second highest ranking Angel around. She works for the Lord Death, whom she refers to as the Boss, finding runaways who should have died... but haven't. She wasn't always this way, though, she was once human; but brutally murdered at 14. When she finds out that some of her friends from when she was mortal are on her List of Retrieving (even if it isn't their Time), she is torn between her past and her present. Will she choose her old life, and let her friends live; or her new life: where she shows no mercy to the should-be-dead? All of this with the pressure of having to save the world from darkness hanging on her shoulders as well.

Maria wasn't sure why or how the entity haunted her; she never played with a ouija bound and she never chanted Bloody Mary in her bathroom but on this particular day, when she was home alone, a huge terrifying Monster pounced on her from her closet and attacked her in her own room, the Monster itself was a huge, horrifying, sinister entity with startling glowing yellow eyes that seemed to stare into her soul. The Monster seems to only be interested in Maria and targets her specifically, She has no clue as to why it's haunting her, no, hunting her, but she's determined to find out and put a stop to it before it can send the grim reaper her way.
