    Jack was a regular loner, serious, 17 year old boy, but not everything can stay normal. Which is probably why he was attacked and now seems to be changing, but not in the way you'd expect. He doesn't become afraid of people, but amazed at what that attack lead to, and what abilities it gave him.
    
    Crystal was a normal carefree, childish, 16 year old peasant. She lives in a strange village, in a strange world where the residents think it's anything but. Where five races are in a constant war between each other under the people's noses.
