So if you haven't read this book yet, I HIGHLY recommend to read The Confession first, otherwise you won't only get majorly spoiled but also a lot wouldn't make sense. Lee Jordan wasn't always a trouble maker. He was a dedicated student, a lovable and thoughtful friend and a good son. He also was a prankster, the light of any party and would have never said no to any chance that might have erupted.
After the War his world seems strangely displaced. The person he was before seemed so far out of reach for him and he is trying to decipher what that all might mean and what life actually holds in store for him.
Being a shoulder to rely on for his friends, and trying to rebuild what's left, isn't as easy as it was once for him. In the whole mess of it all, he is trying to hold on to his last resort of light. Will he manage to do that?
