Zion Carter is the star of Blackridge University's basketball team. Tall, talented, and on track for the NBA, everyone on campus knows his name. Girls chase him, crowds chant for him, and the future seems perfectly planned out. Zion's world revolves around basketball, fame, and staying focused on the game. Amara Johnson's world is the complete opposite. A quiet scholarship student from a struggling background, Amara keeps to herself. She spends most of her time studying in the library, determined not to lose the opportunity that could change her life. She avoids attention, parties, and especially the arrogant athletes who dominate campus life. But everything changes when Zion notices her. Unlike everyone else, Amara doesn't care that he's the campus star. She doesn't flirt with him, doesn't chase him, and barely even looks his way. Her shyness and quiet strength draw Zion in, making him curious about the girl who seems immune to his charm. What starts as curiosity slowly turns into something deeper. As Zion breaks down Amara's walls, she begins to see the real person behind the confident basketball star. But love isn't easy when their worlds are so different. Between pressure from Zion's basketball career, rumors on campus, and Amara's fear of losing her scholarship, their relationship is tested in ways neither of them expected.

Valeria didn't rush. She never did. Inez was pinned beneath her, wrist locked overhead, the hold precise and impersonal. Not pain. Control. Inez scoffed anyway. "That's it?" she sneered. "I've had tutors scarier than you." Valeria said nothing. The silence pressed in. "You don't scare me," Inez added, louder. Brattier. "You just-" "Enough." One word. Flat. Final. Valeria lifted Inez's chin with two fingers, detached as a correction. "Look at me," she said coolly. "If you're going to embarrass yourself, do it properly." Inez laughed, brittle. "You think this makes you powerful?" "I don't think," Valeria replied. "I decide." Her gaze never wavered. "You provoke because it's the last control you have." "I don't belong to you," Inez snapped. Valeria leaned in, voice razor-thin. "You are my wife. You belong to consequences." She released her grip. "Say it." "No." Valeria waited. The quiet broke Inez, she hated being ignored. "...I'll behave, I'll be a good girl" Inez muttered. "Specify." Inez swallowed hard. "...I'll be your good girl" Valeria stepped back, already distant. "Good," she said. "Remember why." #1 older women-13th February (FAST PACE BOOK)
