Detached and perceptive, Vednath prefers to observe people from a distance rather than form attachments. To him, people are performers, connections are temporary, and permanence is an illusion.

But when he is pushed back into college to complete his degree, something begins to change.
Around the same time, strange things start happening at 3:15 a.m.; a mysterious person begins to appear, quietly pulling his life into unfamiliar territory.

With memories that don't line up and nights that stop making sense, Vednath must decide whether to keep watching from the sidelines, or step into a world he no longer understands.
