Layla Umar Faruk. A definition of beauty and brain. She gives beauty new meaning. Her beauty is ethereal, turning heads whereever she goes. Married to one of the riches, handsome, young heartthrob in kaduna, she is the topic of envy among the ladies both young and older women, cause a lot wish is their daughters that are in her position. But they said all that glitters is not gold. Layla loves AbdulAzeez, her husband of 6years with their beautiful daughter of 5 and she did all she could to maintain that façade of the perfect family until a tragidy struck. And it ended up breaking her to her core which raises the question. "Will love be enough?" Even at her lowest, AbdulAzeez couldn't man up and be the husband she deserved. The person that stood by her and walk her through that darkest part of her life which almost engulfed her was Jawad. AbdulAzeez's bestfriend since childhood and that's when Layla realize, love isn't really, it was never enough and it will never be enough. For Layla, meeting Jawad was both a blessing and a curse in disguise but for Jawad, meeting Layla was the best thing that ever happened to him. But that meeting prove to be the start of dangerous and forbidden love between Layla and Jawad.

Layla lost her mother at a young age and was abused by her alcoholic father. Her best friend, Jasmine knew about this and so Layla spent majority of her time with Ashley and her family, basically growing up with them. After highschool, Layla moved away to study. She decided to visit Jasmine and her family during summer break. One thing she didn't expect was to see her attractive brother, and her childhood crush, staying there too. Jasmine always knew about Layla's crush on her brother, Asher. What Layla doesn't know is that her feelings aren't one sided. Everyone can see their chemistry and the attraction between them. Everyone except the two themselves. If only one of them could risk their friendship for something even better. But it won't be easy for these two to find their happy ending. **Contains mentions of alcohol, physical/verbal abuse and blood**

Hurt and frightened and no where to turn except for my journal. Curse words being streamed at me and you would have thought I had a father for a sailor. ~E.M.C Many poems focusing on the subject of Mental Illness, that many suffer with and the subject just isn't brought up enough. I've tried to release this pain in so many different ways; But writing about you seems to be one of my faves. I don't understand how I find closure When I know it only lasts until the poem is over. Somehow it feels like some sort of imaginary relief to my reality. As if, the pain I feel only exists until the words are free. I know how crazy it may seem Because the heartbreak will always be there; And I will never un-feel what you've done to me.
