The one that always appears happy. The person that you'd never guess was suffering every single day. Have you ever questioned what could break a person so badly? Have you ever wanted to get inside the mind of that person? This poetry is mine. This is me, opening my damaged mind to be discovered. Inside you'll find the raw emotions of a truly broken soul.

Layla Umar Faruk. A definition of beauty and brain. She gives beauty new meaning. Her beauty is ethereal, turning heads whereever she goes. Married to one of the riches, handsome, young heartthrob in kaduna, she is the topic of envy among the ladies both young and older women, cause a lot wish is their daughters that are in her position. But they said all that glitters is not gold. Layla loves AbdulAzeez, her husband of 6years with their beautiful daughter of 5 and she did all she could to maintain that façade of the perfect family until a tragidy struck. And it ended up breaking her to her core which raises the question. "Will love be enough?" Even at her lowest, AbdulAzeez couldn't man up and be the husband she deserved. The person that stood by her and walk her through that darkest part of her life which almost engulfed her was Jawad. AbdulAzeez's bestfriend since childhood and that's when Layla realize, love isn't really, it was never enough and it will never be enough. For Layla, meeting Jawad was both a blessing and a curse in disguise but for Jawad, meeting Layla was the best thing that ever happened to him. But that meeting prove to be the start of dangerous and forbidden love between Layla and Jawad.

She decided to visit Jasmine and her family during summer break. One thing she didn't expect was to see her attractive brother, and her childhood crush, staying there too. Jasmine always knew about Layla's crush on her brother, Asher. What Layla doesn't know is that her feelings aren't one sided. Everyone can see their chemistry and the attraction between them. Everyone except the two themselves. If only one of them could risk their friendship for something even better. "He wanted revenge, but what did I ever do to you to deserve this cruelty?" Those words constantly rang in his ears, day and night, morning and evening, making him feel worse by the second. She'd given him no reason to have been rewarded with what he'd done. He deceived her. Why? Just to help his twin get his revenge? Even though it was just by a minute, he was an elder, wasn't it his duty to knock some sense into his brother's head? Instead he ruined an innocent's life. Like he wasn't suffering enough because of his doings; as if to add insult to the injury, his past comes crashing down into his mind when he learns who she was; the girl because of whom he lives today. Some pains in life are that terrific, something you wouldn't wish upon your greatest enemy. The betrayal of a person who you thought was your soulmate was one of them. He could beg, explain, justify, grovel and pay for his sins. I could be angry, listen to him, get annoyed, have pity and sympathise with him. What he couldn't do was make anything the same or better, ever again! What I couldn't do was ever take him back! In the end there's only just one question left, How Could You?
