The one that always appears happy. The person that you'd never guess was suffering every single day. Have you ever questioned what could break a person so badly? This Time Around
Losing her home, marriage, and son after being the target of jealous, envious, and greed driven individuals. Layla thought she would crumble and die, but then decided that she was going to get revenge. While seeking revenge, she has to lean on the same people who didn't value her before. I've tried to release this pain in so many different ways; But writing about you seems to be one of my faves. I don't understand how I find closure When I know it only lasts until the poem is over. Somehow it feels like some sort of imaginary relief to my reality. As if, the pain I feel only exists until the words are free. Cheated and Pregnant (Editing)
Rosie thought her life was getting better, that she would experience the fairy tale of living happily ever after. She thought the worst years of her life were over but the worse was yet to come. Rosie thought she had escaped from her past, that the past will stay in the past. But does it always do? But things from the past have a way of coming back to bite us in the ass. She was living a new life, with a different identity and a new place to call home. She was happy with her boyfriend and ready to build a home with him. But you see, the past always has a way of showing up when you least expect it to especially when you're having the time of your life, when you're at your happiest, thinking nothing could take it away from you, then it sweeps everything from beneath you. Hurt Beyond Repair.
Hurt and frightened and no where to turn except for my journal. Curse words being streamed at me and you would have thought I had a father for a sailor. ~E.M.C Many poems focusing on the subject of Mental Illness, that many suffer with and the subject just isn't brought up enough. Poems focusing on a day in the shoes of a person with a mental illness and how some even ordinary simple tasks may seem not so simple to them.
