Taehyung lives by a simple rule: Don't care, and you won't get hurt. After a betrayal that shattered his world three years ago, he's content being a ghost working in a crumbling motel on the outskirts of Seoul. He doesn't look for trouble, and he certainly doesn't look for heroes.

But when he sees a "naive" stranger sitting in a dangerous alleyway, his dormant hero complex kicks in. He drags the man into his apartment to save him from a brutal gang, unaware that he just kidnapped the very man who owns the city's shadows.
