The guild was older than most kingdoms. A network of killers hidden beneath temples, taverns, and merchant houses across **Essos**. Those who entered rarely left.

Children were taken young.

Names erased.

Identities stripped away.

Only skill mattered.

Nymeria had been brought there when she was five.

She did not remember the people who sold her.

Only fragments remained in her memory.

Sunlight.

Sand.

A woman's voice singing.

Dark eyes like her own.

And fire.

Always fire.

The guild masters noticed her quickly.

Not because she was the strongest.

But because she was relentless.

She was faster than the older children.

More patient.

More observant.

She did not rush.

She waited.

Watched.

Calculated.

If another trainee swung wildly with a blade, Nymeria would step aside and strike their ribs with brutal precision.

If they attacked with anger, she disarmed them.

If they hesitated, she struck.

By twelve she was already sparring with grown assassins.

By fourteen she had her first contract.

A corrupt merchant in **Pentos**.

She killed him in silence.

A dagger through the throat while he slept.

Clean.

Efficient.

Emotionless.

The guild masters approved.

But there were whispers about her.

Not about her skill.
