Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds Rewrite: A New Legacy

There have been many anime shows that some would say are their favorites. But for me, my favorite anime would have a special place in my heart, and that anime would be Yugioh 5ds.

Yugioh 5ds is an amazing anime. It's my favorite anime among my top 10 favorite shows. It has been a driving part of my childhood and continues to thrive. I found myself getting into the history of Yugioh and watching the series throughout my years in the trading card game. Over the past months, I've been looking into the Yugioh Anime Series and one of the things that took me by surprise is how characters like Jaden from gx or Yusei from 5ds use completely new decks. However, they still keep true to the spirit of the character. This is amazing because it allows you to create new relationships with the medium and revisit fond memories with a sense of novelty. Of course, once I'm interested in something I like, I have to replicate it with my own touches.

This project of mine is called "Yugioh 5D's Rewrite: A New Legacy." Which is designed to follow the story 5ds exactly. Replacing Yusei with a similar protagonist with a completely different deck. This project of mine is to emulate the essence of the original duels, following the anime script as closely as possible, but demonstrating different tactics from another character. Since the characters in the anime will go up against our protagonist deck and not Yusei's, there will be situations where they can't respond with the same exact action as they did in the anime. Thus, I'll be taking creative liberties on what they'll play when those situations occur. However, I will still try my best to emulate the core themes of the episodes. So, I hope you enjoy the story.
