Pure Potential Beyond The Void

The Great Void.

Some label it as a mythic lake from which those blessed by Kami are allowed to drink to gain supernatural abilities. Others see it as a genetic evolution akin to that of an ameba gaining the abilities of a human, ascending to another dimension of power.

Yet one thing is universal. Those who experienced an awakening described it as a complete blackness with pure whiteness and an empty horizon stretching into oblivion. It's as if time and space ended, rendering it a realm of consciousness separate from the flow of time in the real world. Its appearance can vary with each being who enters it, and those who came back from such an experience described it as a dream.

What comes from The Great Void into reality is known as Nexus Energy. Nexus Energy is what is the root of all supernatural phenomena in the world, an invisible current that shapes reality, and those who can wield it manifest abilities known as Heros. While those who are blessed are limited, far and few, they must go through a superconditioned academy in order to serve humanity to their fullest degree, shedding away their impurity to become the greatest of this World.

Yet one mustn't let their guard down, for if you aren't careful, the line may blur and fade into the abyss, until you can't tell the difference between human and monster...
