Rain Ross and the Battle of Hogwarts (Harry Potter Fanfiction)

Rain Ross has never known her real family. All she knows is her life in San Francisco with her adoptive brother Zach, a pureblood wizard. When Rain finally gets to live out her dream of going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, it is nothing like what she expected. Somehow, the people living in the United States have managed to escape the Wizarding War. However, if Voldemort ascends to power, it is likely they will not escape.
As Rain struggles to learn of her heritage, she discovers that she is more connected to this war than she could have ever imagined. All her life, she has had dreams about a mysterious boy that she doesn't even know. Now, after learning that the boy is a real person and not just a figment of her imagination, Rain begins to wonder what her connection to this boy is.
As Rain dives into her lessons on magic, she is also dealt lessons about love, something she has never encountered before. When she falls in love with the wrong person, will it change her perspective of the world? Or will she be able to remain true to her beliefs? Whose side will she choose when the war enters Hogwarts?
Join Rain as she struggles to discover her place in JK Rowling's magical world of witches and wizards, and fights for the love she has found there.
NOTE: This story takes place during the seventh book of JK Rowling's series, Deathly Hallows. Only Rain, Zach, and a few other characters belong to me. The rest belongs to JK Rowling.
A/N: Though this story is rated R, there is really only one chapter that is R. the rest is PG-13. wattpad was just being annoying because of that one chapter of mature content.
