Missing Pieces

As if being a growing hormonal teenage girl wasn't hard enough, Samiria Anderson suffers at the hands of people bigger and more powerful than her. Her adolescence is cut short when she's forced to mature faster than she's prepared for. What was familiar to her quickly turned unfamiliar when she and her mother made a big move to Brooklyn, New York from Cairo, Egypt. Her dad stays behind on a military base in Africa for an assignment he cannot share with them. Sam tries to adjust, but struggles with anxiety, nightmare disorder, and trying to find a sense of belonging. Sam's mother, Melinda goes on a work trip, but when she doesn't respond or return, Sam grows concerned. Melinda is deemed a missing person. Sam goes through some of Melinda's files and finds several military files with confusing information. Sam's dad is also M.I.A. She begins wondering who can she even trust being as all adults in her life have lied and kept a huge secret from her. As she and her friends investigate to solve the missing pieces of this wicked puzzle, they realize what they're going up against is more sinister than they knew. Strange things begin happening, people are disappearing, and Sam always has a feeling that she's being watched. Will Sam find the missing pieces of the puzzle before it's too late?
