The Child They Saved

Some victories in hero history feel less like celebrations and more like scars.

During the raid on the Shie Hassaikai, three heroes give everything to stop Kai Chisaki and save one terrified little girl. Shota Aizawa holds his quirk long enough to keep the monster contained. Mirio Togata refuses to back down even after losing everything. And Izuku Midoriya pushes his power beyond what his body can survive.

The villain falls.

Left behind in the aftermath is a child with a dangerous quirk and too many memories for someone her age. While hero society argues about what to do with her, two exhausted students quietly make a decision that will change all their lives.
