My name is Damien Hale. I'm a rookie ghost hunter.

My great great grandfather finally trusted me enough to set me towards a big mission. I was set to kill a girl named Mary Hill. But one thing bothered me though was that he didn't gave me a legitimate reason as to why I need to kill her.

It was just an order.

There were rules in being a ghost hunter, one of them was to never abandon your mission no matter what. Another one of them was to never kill an innocent. But I have my own rules and to me, Mary Hill was innocent until proven guilty. Again, my name is Damien Hale, and I broke two of those rules along with a couple of others by saving the girl I was set to kill, but this wasn't a story about a reckless rookie ghost hunter.

This was a story about Mary Hill, a haunted girl.

I never thought a living person can be haunted until I met her.
