When fifteen-year-old Morgan Collins learns that the father she's never met is none other than Miami Metro blood-spatter analyst Dexter Morgan, her life changes overnight. After years of surviving an abusive home with nothing but a paintbrush, stubborn optimism, and a smile that hides more than it shows, Morgan suddenly finds herself leaving Miami behind for the quiet town of Hawkins, Indiana.

As shadows from another world begin to creep into town, Morgan becomes the focus of a far darker presence-one that feeds on pain, anger, and the memories she has spent years trying to bury. The entity known as Vecna believes Morgan Collins will break like the others.
