Es mi último año escolar y lo detesto. No porque me despida de mi antigua vida en la que están mis amigos compañeros, esas son las razones más equivocadas a las que concluirás siendo los verdugos de mi estancia en ese lugar. Tampoco es que importase demasiado cuando tus notas son el tema de conversación de tus profesores, que parecen solo recordarte cuando alcanzas un nuevo récord. "Los remanentes" deberían llamarnos al solo ser obligados a cumplir las tareas como único deber de la institución. Podríamos ser delincuentes, perezosos y hasta algunos malos estudiantes, pero si algunos, ya son suficiente que exprimir alcanzando puntajes altos en las pruebas de estado, para aumentar el prestigio del colegio a nivel nacional ganando estudiantes como dinero, los remanentes tienen rienda suelta para sus juegos macabros, todo lo que me espera en un pequeño salón a diario. Sin admirar en secreto las cualidades de Brayden estaría aun más desolada. El chico más divertido, carismático y sociable que tenía a todos comiendo de su mano, lo que era suficiente para llegar a enamorarme. Sólo que no era capaz de corresponderme. Su interés notable pero intermitente, intensifico rumores de querer alejarlo a dónde pertenecía, con sus amigos y su popular novia. Envolviéndome en el blanco de burlas y risas que me condenaron al margen. Mientras el descontento crece, me enfoco en la salida que me sacará de una soledad infinita, y la cercanía, pero sin vínculos certeros que existe en mi familia: Anhelo sobresalir en las pruebas ICFES que definirán la beca que me ayudará a viajar en el extranjero para por fin encontrar mi rumbo en la vida. ¿Lograré encajar en una parte del mundo que me premie por ser y no hacer? Lo descubriremos.
