Book #1 in the WolfQuest series. The Island of Hanalucha is a place that is unknown to humans. There are three groups. The first group is called the DarkOnes, who live in underground caves. The second are called the Mystics, they live in tall mountains. And last but not least, the wolfs! The wolfs have two packs, the GrassPack, and the DesertPack. But there is one being above all others, The Siren. The Sirens name is Maya. She is the protector of Hanlucha. She is the only non-wolf being.
