Yet she finds herself drawn to what does not exist, and questions the possibility of mythology existing in reality.

Until a break-in at her friend's bookstore changes everything.

Nothing is stolen. Every shelf is torn apart. It is clear the intruder was looking for something very specific, and failed to find it.

The only thing that feels out of place is a manuscript Aster recently took home.

At first, she dismisses the connection. But as the days unfold, the coincidences become harder to ignore. The text describes a creature-Nocturnis-with a detailed description that cannot be made up. Not like folklore nor fiction, but like documentation. And the deeper she reads, the more the details begin to mirror what is happening around her.

What she finds forces her to question more than the events themselves. It forces her to question where she stands in all of it.

Because the book was not written by accident.

And it was never meant to reach her.
