Poppy Potter preferred fiction.
She favored sticking her nose into a book and pretending the world around her did not exist. Used to the quiet and the mundane matters of life, Poppy wanted nothing more than solitude. It wasn't that she didn't want magic-she just preferred not to have her life on the line in order to receive it. Yet, despite her wishes, the world never seemed to grant her such peace.

Even so, Poppy wanted excitement-just not the kind fraught with danger.

Unfortunately for her, danger seemed to prefer Poppy.
It followed her in thick trails of smoke, lingering around whatever corner she would turn next-an ever-present reminder that her wishes were rarely granted without consequence.

Poppy thought going to Hogwarts would mean an escape from her torturous life with the Dursleys. She hoped that for once, her brother and her could live a simple, peaceful life filled with magic and rainbows-and well, Hogwarts may have had magic, but it was far from peaceful.

If it wasn't monsters in corridors, professors trying to kill her, and extinct dark wizards, then it was annoying brats, dangerous plants, and falling off brooms.

Goodness her what kind of life has she found herself falling into.
