"If you wait..." the woman rasped, looking no older than twenty-four. "They'll find you here."
Clarke swallowed harshly. "Who are you?" she asked, her voice betraying her urgency. "You're not... a Grounder."
"No," the woman rasped, her skin marred with filth and dried blood. "Not the kind you know."
Clarke pursed her lips. She grabbed the extra set of keys she'd managed to swipe for this dangerous foray and fumbled to unlock the cage. "How long?" Clarke asked as she worked the lock.
"Too long," the woman muttered, watching Clarke wearily.
The padlock clicked, and Clarke quietly swung the door open. She looked at the woman again. "I'm Clarke, by the way."
The woman staggered out of the cage. "Kyla," she rasped.
