Set in Yokohama, Japan, in 2009, the story follows Aiko Tanaka, a shy and insecure student who lives between the heavy silence of her home and the constant mockery of her classmates. Her world feels small, repetitive, and lonely, shaped by anxiety, sleepless nights, and the quiet belief that she simply doesn't belong anywhere.

Everything begins to change when she accidentally meets Eric Harriman, a mysterious new transfer student from the United Kingdom. Unlike the others, Eric is kind, curious, and surprisingly interested in talking to her. When their art teacher assigns a new project-creating a short film with any theme-the task feels impossible for Aiko... until Eric proposes an unexpected idea.
