Ancient Echoes

God doesn't make mistakes. But Hazel Vance is one.

Two thousand years ago, an Angel of Death failed his mission. He let one soul slip through his fingers in the mud of the Roman Empire.
Now, Hazel Vance is just a girl trying to survive her first day at Blackwood High, haunted by dreams of a man with smouldering gold eyes. She wants a quiet and normal life, but the universe is coming to correct its greatest error.
In Ancient Rome, he was her end.
At Blackwood High, he's her new classmate.
He's waited two millennia to fix his mistake, but the more he watches her, the more he realises that killing her is the last thing he wants to do.
