No last words. No dramatic sacrifice.
Just a philosophy student crossing the street after class and a truck that didn't slow down in time.
Which, in hindsight, was a deeply embarrassing way to die for someone who had just spent an hour debating morality in front of thirty people.
Her final intellectual contribution to the world had been defending the reasoning of Eren Yeager.
Five minutes later, she was roadkill.
The universe clearly had a sense of humor.
Unfortunately for Mirai... the joke wasn't over.
