In the strangely cheerful café at the circus, Pomni works a job she doesn't remember applying for-and can't seem to leave. The menu changes on its own, the clock never shows the right time, and the customers never really go home.

Jax, a lazy, smug coworker, acts like everything is normal. He teases Pomni constantly, avoids her questions, and somehow always shows up when things get too weird-like he knows more than he should.

As Pomni starts noticing things aren't right, she's forced to rely on the one person she doesn't trust.
