Emerly Gray was known as the brooding, stubborn little sister of Eric Gray. She felt like her existence was constantly pushed down by her family's name. One of, if not the most riches family in Wildbrook. She had always craved a much more simpler lifestyle. No expectations to up hold, no pressure to be perfect.
Theo Flinch was the complete opposite of Emerly, in almost every aspect.
Charming as ever, walking around with a smile on his face and friends by his sides. Cocky but rightfully so as the football team's quarterback and captain. He had almost perfect grades and didn't lack in appearance. The only thing he did fall short on was the huge house she lived in, the expensive car her brother drove and all the other stuff that came with the wealth under her family's name.
With Emerly's brother, Eric, and Theo Flinch being inseparable since young, he was always around. She couldn't escape him, and God did she want to. He had always been a thorn in her side. With her dad treating him like his own son while never acknowledging his own daughter, she was bitter. He was always so effortlessly perfect and liked.
But while they get through their Junior year of high school, even after knowing each other for years, it turns out maybe he wasn't so perfect after all. Or at least his life wasn't. And maybe they were just two sides of the same coin.
Emerly refused to acknowledge it, but Theo of all people seemed like the only person who could see through her, make her feel recognized.
With Emerly constantly pushing back and not being able to let go of the of the all grudges she had against him while he kept getting more and more pulled in by her, Junior year was looking up.
