"I need your help," The Elvenborn informs cheerfully, sapphire eyes bright as he settles himself at my table.

I hum quietly, lifting my cup to my lips and letting the steam curl against my face as I take a slow sip "With what?"

He hesitates.

The bright smile he'd been wearing since he walked through my door falters slightly, something heavier flickering behind his gaze "Breaking a bond."

My gaze flicks up to meet his-a glare fixing itself onto my features as I set my drink down.
