Captured In Summer

After moving from a noisy city to a quiet island for her father's work, Seo Yeonjung struggles to adjust to a life that feels unfamiliar and lonely. Though she carries a bright, gentle personality, she has always kept her distance from others, finding comfort in sketching portraits of strangers and wondering what it would feel like to become someone's muse.

Everything begins to change when she meets Kang Haejoon, a soft-spoken boy who works at his grandmother's small seaside bakery. With a camera always in his hands, Jisoo captures fleeting moments of the world around him, quietly searching for something-or someone-that inspires him.

What starts as a brief encounter soon turns into an unexpected connection when they realize they attend the same school. As Yeonjung slowly becomes part of Haejoon's small circle of friends, the two grow closer through shared silences, and the unspoken language of art. Without realizing it, they begin to capture each other-she through sketches, he through photographs-becoming the very muse they had been searching for.

But just as their bond deepens, Yeonjung is faced with a truth she has been hiding: her time on the island is limited, and she must soon return to the city for medical treatment. Afraid of hurting Haejoon, she pushes him away, leaving behind words she does not mean and feelings she cannot confess.

As summer draws to an end, the two are forced to confront the fragility of time, love, and the moments they failed to hold onto.
