In between periodically crashing at his friend's place, disappointing his ever-upset mother and slowly drowning in addiction, Alexander is losing himself. His relatively aggressive and unpredictable demeanour isn't unjustified - a deep trauma he cannot forgive himself for gnaws at his conscience perpetually.
