I'm powerless around you

AU where Deadpool basically lost his powers due to a horrible incident. What else is an ex Merc to do? Go live in NYC of course! And who else is in NYC? Pretty much everyone, but the main thing here is... Peter Parker. Who happens to be Spider-Man.

Written from Wade's POV.

I swallowed my sandwich and sighed, "I'm sorry. I fucked this up, didn't I?" I rubbed my face and squeezed my eyes with the heels of my hands, "I totally understand if you wanna tense up and run away again, this time without coming back."

"What? No, I don't want to run away. Neither of those times were my choice. It's really hard to explain, and I can't really tell you why I do it, but please believe me it's in no way because of you."

My face was still covered up. I hate to admit that I may have gotten a bit too emotional and shed an accidental tear, and I sure as fuck didn't want him to know it.

"I know about DID." I said and wiped my face hard while turning away from him.

"What?"

"DID, you know, dissociative identity disorder. It's what I'm guessing you have. One of your alters just really hates me, so when they come out you run away." I shrugged, "it's fine, really, at least a part of you understands that I'm no good and tries to protect you."

Peter stared at me in silence.

"I don't have DID." He stated flatly.

"I mean, you can't know for sure, some people have it and are completely unaware for the longest time. Have you heard of moon knight? He has it."

"Wade, I definitely don't have it." he scoffed, "though that would be a good excuse... should I use it in Uni? No that's crazy, pretending to have a mental disorder is harmful to the people that actually have it. Forget it. My point is, I don't have DID, I just have to leave abruptly sometimes."
