Fifteen years have passed since the events that reshaped New Domino City. The era of Signers, Dark Signers, and the battle against Z-ONE has become history, its heroes now legends whose names still echo throughout the dueling world. Under Director Jack Atlas and Vice Director Carly Atlas-Carmine, New Domino has entered an age of unprecedented prosperity, where Turbo Dueling stands at the center of a thriving and united city.

Yet beneath that peace, something ancient has begun to stir.

As the Rising Challengers Tournament introduces a new generation of duelists, seventeen-year-old Makoto Reyes and fifteen-year-old former champion Dahlia Winchester find themselves drawn into a mystery neither fully understands. Both are accompanied by strange beings unseen by most of the world-otherworldly entities that are neither Duel Spirits nor monsters, but something far older. As more of these enigmatic companions emerge and forgotten truths begin resurfacing, questions surrounding their existence point toward a distant past buried long before Duel Monsters ever existed.

While ambitious duelists chase glory, rivalries ignite, and future champions rise, a far greater danger gathers beyond anyone's sight. Ancient seals have broken. Lost memories are returning. And somewhere in the shadows, a force once defeated by seven mysterious spirits threatens to awaken once more.

The next generation's greatest challenge is not winning a tournament.

It's surviving what comes after.
