The Way It Used to Be

When Andie was twelve years old, she moved to Hawkins, Indiana, because her stepdad got a new job-just another quiet town in the middle of nowhere. At least, that's what it was supposed to be.
She didn't expect to find a group of boys who would become her whole world. Mike, Lucas, Will, and Dustin were there before everything changed-before the lights flickered, before the secrets, before growing up got complicated. Back then, it was just bikes, late nights, and the kind of friendship that felt like it would last forever.
Andie fit in faster than she ever thought she would, like she had always been meant to find them. Especially Dustin, who was there from the start-laughing too loud, talking too much, and somehow always right beside her. It was easy. It was simple. It was the way things used to be.
But Hawkins isn't the kind of place that lets things stay the same.
As strange things begin to happen and the line between childhood and something darker starts to blur, Andie realizes that not everything she left behind in Norway stayed there-and not everything in Hawkins is what it seems. Friendships shift, feelings change, and the past has a way of catching up, no matter how far you run.
