Pages I wasn't meant to read

She wasn't looking for anything.
Just a journal. Something to get through class.
But the one she finds isn't empty.
It's filled-with thoughts that feel too real. Too personal. Like they were never meant to be read by anyone else.
Nayeli doesn't know who wrote it.
She doesn't know how it ended up there.
But she keeps reading anyway.
Because the deeper she goes, the more it starts to feel familiar.
Like she understands the person behind the words.
Like she sees herself in them.
And maybe that's the problem.
Because as Nayeli begins to confront parts of herself she's not ready to face-her thoughts, her past, and feelings she's spent too long ignoring-she realizes this journal might be doing more than just telling someone else's story.
It might be unraveling her own.
