The story is about a college student named Emery, who has been home schooled her whole life. Because of her fathers wealth she comes off very snobby, but not of having many friends growing up and not going to school she has never had a boyfriend.

Emery and Dayna, her best friend, who she met at a summer camp when she was younger, now go to the same college.

Emery is now attending a prestigious college in NYC, studying psychology. Her true dream is to become a photographer, one of her hobbies growing up.

She lives in a luxury penthouse by herself, paid for, of course, by her dad, and it doesn't take long for people to start finding out, the daughter of Carlos Brock is in town. And a big target for the Mafia, because of the large company her father owns.

It wasn't until Dayna and Emery decided to go to a college party one night that Emery got her first glance at the man who would change her life, Colt Caputo.

Emery soon finds herself entangled in the mafia world of NYC, with Colt in the center of it all.
