When the Sea Touched the Moon

People had symbols in their hearts.
Some tried to hide them, others carried them with pride. That's why it wasn't considered rude to look at people's chests while walking down the street.
Because everyone, more or less, knew what everyone else was. Who was dangerous, who was fragile, who should be avoided... As for mine, people usually hesitated.

From a distance, it looks whole. But when you get closer, there is always a part of it missing.
It was neither a warning nor an invitation.
From afar, it looked perfect. Round, calm, even peaceful. But if you looked a little closer... it was incomplete. Always missing a piece. Always a little unfinished, a little lost.
