Being sent to a foreign planet wasn't on my bucket list. On the way down, in the rusty havoc filled pod, when the two bulky doors opened, I expected a radiation soaked forest, accompanied by a barren wasteland with no life and a sky filled with hazardous potent gases.

Like Saturn.

So you can imagine my surprise when I'm met with a flourishing forest, glistening lakes and lively animals that found sanctuary in the intertwined branches that loomed above.

That's when the seed of hope had been planted into my chest, reigniting my entire body.

....Maybe I do have a chance at surviving.

That is, if the Ark keeps their word and follows us down. My medication that I snagged off the pharmaceutical sector of the farming station was only meant to hold me over for the next six months.

If I run out, and cease to take it, my immune system will deteriorate, bones will shrink, teeth will fall out, and my seizure episodes would return. All the nasty stuff.

And then I'd die.
