She never meant to stay.

Kana was supposed to wake up at home.

Instead, she woke in another world, another body, and a clan that somehow already called her family.

She never asked to become an Okizashi.

She certainly didn't plan on becoming a shinobi, medic, summoner, or an increasingly inconvenient political variable.

But years have a funny way of changing things.

The Uchiha know her.
The Hyūga owe her.
The Naras have opinions about her.
And the Hatake refuses to leave her alone.

Somewhere along the way, the Hidden Leaf stopped being a place she needed to escape.

It became home.

Kana never meant to stay.

But perhaps the hardest part of finding a home isn't knowing where you belong.

It's realizing you already stayed.
