Her one leg hung carelessly from the chair, a Gold Flake cigarette resting between her fingers. She dragged in a slow breath, then exhaled, letting the smoke dissolve into the night air.

 There was no denying it-she looked like a complete loafer, utterly unbothered.

He walked in and took a seat across the table.
"You made me wait almost thirty-two minutes," she said the moment she noticed him.

He didn't respond. Instead, he sat there silently, arms folded across his chest, his expression blank as he studied her. So this is the girl my parents chose for me... he thought.

 What a terrible choice.

She waited for him to say something, anything-but when he didn't, her patience snapped.

She dropped the half-burnt Gold Flake and crushed it under her boot.

"Look, I don't want to marry you.  mana kar de shaadi ke liye, mujhe jhel nahi payega zindagi bhar," she said, her voice calm yet chilling.

He only smiled at her words.

Maybe... he had other plans.
