IBM-Ric is a "rebooter," a high-stakes specialist who charges obscene fees to dive into his clients' subconscious. His job? Rip out the sickness at its roots and reboot the psyche from the ground up. But the human mind - drowning in decades of pop culture - is a warzone. It gives shape to its neuroses and traumas through the sets, villains, and scenes of the most iconic movies ever made.

To survive, IBM-Ric has to think fast, channel legendary heroes from geek culture, and fight for his life - because every wound taken inside the subconscious tears through his actual flesh-and-blood body.

When he agrees to jack into the psyche of A-Dell, a patient, the rebooter has no idea what kind of nightmare is waiting for him.
