I didn't fall for him. I noticed him- the way you notice a storm rolling in, slow and inevitable, knowing it's going to ruin something. I just didn't think it would be me. The Outer Banks has always been about lines-Pogues and Kooks, right and wrong, safe and dangerous. I've lived on one side of it my whole life, running wild with the same people, chasing tides that never stay still. But some lines aren't meant to be crossed. And some people don't care. He's chaos wrapped in control, the kind of person you don't get too close to unless you're ready to feel the burn. Every glance lingers too long. Every word feels like a challenge. Every moment between us walks the edge of something we can't take back. I know what he is. I know what this could become. That should be enough to make me leave. It isn't. Because the truth is- the danger isn't what scares me. It's how much I want it anyway. Rafe Cameron x Lux Russo Outer Banks fanfiction dark romance | obsession | slow burn | chaos
