They were never really part of the same world.
Same grade.
Same corridors.
Different lives moving at different speeds.
He was always in motion-fields, matches, laughter spilling into hallways.
She stayed where things were predictable-classrooms, corners, thoughts she never quite said out loud.
And yet-
somewhere between passing glances and borrowed moments,
they began to exist in the same frame.
Not close enough to be something.
Not distant enough to be nothing.
He moved toward things without thinking too much.
She thought about everything before she moved.
And maybe that was the problem.
