STORY AVAILABLE ON AO3
"Then I'll just say it, I feel like my hands could wrap around most of your waist" Day shrugged as if what he said wasn't meant to infuriate Diesel a little.
"That's not true, I don't believe you, you wet dog" Diesel frowned.
Day took another step towards Diesel's, looked into his eyes, and when Diesel didn't object or move away from him, he carefully grabbed him around the waist.
Diesel, not expecting Day to actually do this, flinched at his touch. Diesel felt the coldness of his hand against his skin through the thin material of the shirt he was wearing. He felt Day's breath hit him, and the specific coffee scent filling his lungs. It was just too much for him.
In that moment, something changed between them, something shifted, making it impossible for them to go back to the way things used to be. The tension grew with each passing second as Day's hands gripped Diesel's shapely waist, and their breaths mixed with each other. It was that kind of closeness that was too close and yet too far at the same time.
Or
After Dream disappears from his life and his friend group falls apart, Diesel is left completely alone. And when Diesel slowly gets used to the idea that he will always be alone, Day appears on his path and, together with his cousin Ozone, shows Diesel what family really is. But is Diesel ready for all this? Will Day, despite his fear of loss, let Diesel in?
IMPORTANT PLOT INFORMATION: the Leap Day curse doesn't exist, but Day's family still dies around his birthday, but it's completely coincidental. I changed the ways of the death of Day's parents and his sister, I wanted to make it a bit more dramatic.
