'I crouch at the riverbank, clutching and tearing at chunks of my hair. Slick seal-brown strands fluttering onto the dew-drowned grass. A sob rips itself from my throat, smothering the sound of the river rippling and sloshing over the rocks. I hitch in a ragged breath as her death loops over and over and over in my mind. Stuck on a loop. Looping and drowning. Her head drooping when an undulation pitches her corpse forward. Her drenched hair clumping into rat tails slapping at her pale face. Her mouth fixed in a permanent 'O'.'

Lola is starting at the prestigious St Katherine's boarding school in Dawson county, Georgia, after being sent away. Romance, mystery and a sprinkling of profanity lie on the roads ahead. (idk how to write a description this doesn't sum it up well at all)
